A venture studio is an organization that systematically builds, launches, and scales startups by combining ideas, capital, and execution in-house. Creating higher success rate ventures than traditional models with a faster time to market. Founders get support and resources from day one. Startups can launch faster and with lower risk.
For every technology startup—led by an entrepreneur, founder, or founding team—accepted into the Carolina Venture Studio program, we work side-by-side with the team for approximately 6 to 12 months. Our partners, mentors, and staff believe that deeply understanding each founder’s strengths and areas for growth is essential to long-term success.
Through an initial SWOT analysis, we design a customized venture-building program tailored to each startup. This structured approach systematically equips founders with the knowledge, resources, and support needed to build, launch, and scale successfully.
In exchange for participation in the program, each accepted startup provides equity in return for a pre-seed capital investment, structured under a simple SAFE note.
The Carolina Venture Studio program is based on rolling admissions. This is not a cohort driven program with start and end dates. We deliver customized programming for scalable technology startups with the ambition and potential to raise $1M or more in SEED-stage funding. Our program is designed for founders building high-growth ventures that address meaningful market opportunities.
Key criteria we evaluate in each application include:
- A solution that brings new technology to market
- A focus on a clearly defined niche or a strong position within a rapidly growing market
- A clear plan to raise growth capital
A investor pitch deck is required for consideration. Applications submitted without a completed deck will not be reviewed. Your product or service should address a real-world problem—a truly painful one that customers or beneficiaries are actively seeking to solve. We want to understand how deeply you know your customers, including their challenges, motivations, and buying behavior.
